Timberlink Australia is uniting with hsbcad to supply end-to-end software solutions for their new NeXTimber range of Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) and Glue Laminated Timber (GLT).
hsbcad was selected following an extensive international review to find the best suite of integrated software tools for project management, digital modelling, manufacturing, and logistics planning of NeXTimber CLT and GLT projects.
Both companies are exhibiting at the Timber Offsite Construction Conference and Exhibition in June, with Timberlink undertaking the major role of Principal Partner.
The decision to partner with hsbcad demonstrates Timberlink’s ongoing commitment to ensuring world leading technology supports every NeXTimber build, production and service aspect.
“The bespoke, end-to-end solution we can achieve with hsbcad provides us with an opportunity to optimise our internal and customer facing systems from early engagement in a project, right through to delivery on site,” said Timberlink CEO Ian Tyson.
“hsbcad provides both the software and the flexibility to ensure our solution continues to evolve to meet market needs and is unique to our manufacturing process and business model. Integrated through the Autodesk environment, we believe hsbcad places NeXTimber at the forefront of CLT and GLT manufacturing and supply.”
Headquartered in Ghent, Belgium, and with 30+ years of industry experience, hsbcad is a global software solution provider for offsite construction. Its extensive software platform can support computer-aided design (CAD), offsite manufacturing, onsite assembly, and compliance with the construction industry’s rapidly emerging Building Information Modelling (BIM) standards.
“The combined project experience of Timberlink and hsbcad and the understanding of the market expectation and opportunities in mass timber will help ensure a successful project,” said hsbcad Australasia Managing Director Frank Davern.
Mr Tyson added, “We are very pleased to be partnering with hsbcad to implement a premier software solution to support our new customers in the growing and dynamic mass timber construction market”.
The NeXTimber CLT and GLT plant is currently being constructed adjacent to Timberlink’s world class timber manufacturing facility in South Australia. Production of the NeXTimber range is scheduled to begin in 2023 with the locally based technical support team ready now to assist customers with planning to use NeXTimber products for future projects.
